A great experience: a great place by the water on a beautiful summer evening (there are also indoor spaces and canopies for rainy days), attentive service and of course excellent pizza, with all ingredients and toppings of the highest quality. With many specialties as toppings, the pizzas are something different from your average pizzeria. "Next level" experience in terms of pizza, service and environment. Our party included both first timers and repeat visitors and all were equally satisfied. The online booking system also worked well.

Absolutely superb pizzas and beautiful surroundings. It was good to stay on the pier in a sailboat.

We had pizza. The food was good. The challenge was choosing just one pizza (I think I changed three times in the queue which one I wanted). It was a warm and still summer day, so someone else had arrived. There was a bit of a queue, but it wasn't intrusive. In the queue you could see pizzas going to the tables that were one better looking than the other.

Advance booking helps to get your pizza at the time you want, but if you're not in a hurry the ambience is great. You can watch the scenery while you wait.

Drinks. I liked these. There were more unusual sodas than the traditional (I think they were traditional) and also local beer.

Ice cream: also local ice cream available. The beer ice cream didn't taste like beer at all, but it was good (a bit of syrup came to mind).

A guest marina on the shores of Lake Saimaa, selling possibly the best pizzas in Finland. The service is smooth, but be prepared for crowds and waiting for food. The restaurant recommends pre-ordering, at least during peak times. There are plenty of boat and car parking spaces. The environment is comfortable. A slight minus for the toilets and, slightly undermanned staff at rosy times. Otherwise a respectable 5 stars.

A real gem of the Saimaa archipelago.

Found a pizzeria in the corner of Liperi, according to hearsay. You drive part of the way to the place on a gravel road, but it is no problem at all. You can also get here by bike from Liper through the countryside and if you can't find a car, a local taxi will take you there.

Opposite you will find a somewhat barren but functional harbour restaurant in Finnish style. The scenery is great - even in the pouring rain.

You may have to wait a bit for your food and there are people eating there, so you may have to queue to get a table - on the other hand, the agreement gives you room and you can ask if you can get someone to join you.

I recommend you leave the rush at the Asvalttitie junction.

The pizzas themselves are well made and the flavours work really well. The wood-fired ovens make the bases taste especially good. There are also a few exotic pizzas to be found.

I highly recommend a visit here.
